COOKIES POLICY

1. DEFINITIONS
Expressions and phrases used herein and capitalized mean:
1.1 Controller – Fundacja Podaruj Dane with its registered office in Warsaw, at: Żelazna 59/1405 Street (00-848 Warsaw), registered in the Register of Associations of the National Court Register under KRS: 0000927690, NIP: 5272974782.
1.2 Cookies – so called “cookies” are IT data, in particular text files, which are stored in the Website User’s terminal equipment and are intended for use on the Website. Cookies usually contain the name of the website they come from, the time they are stored on the end device and a unique number.
1.3 Policy – this document, which defines the rules of the Controller’’s use of cookies and similar technologies.
1.4. Service – the Internet service run by the Controller at https://www.donateyourdata.io
1.5. User – any natural person visiting the Service.


2. GENERAL INFORMATION
2.1 The Controller uses automatic data storage mechanisms in the Service. They are used to ensure the proper operation of the Service, improve the quality of services, adapt the Service to the needs of Users.
2.2 For the purposes of this policy, automatic data storage mechanisms will be referred to as “Cookies”.
2.3 With the help of cookies, the Controller obtains statistical information about the User’s traffic, preferences and activity of the User and how the Service is used. They allow to customize the content and services to the User’s preferences.
2.4 In the case of mobile devices, analogously as in the case of stationary devices, a mechanism for accepting Cookies has been applied, which allows remembering information related to a given User.


3. TYPES OF COOKIES USED
3.1 There are two main types of Cookies used within the Service: “session” cookies and “permanent” cookies (persistent cookies).
3.2 “Session” cookies are temporary files that are stored on the User’s terminal equipment until the User logs out, leaves the website or shuts down the software (web browser).
3.3 “Permanent” cookies are stored on the User’s end device for the time specified in their parameters until they are deleted by the User. They allow recognition of the User’s end device when visiting the Website again.
3.4 “Necessary” cookies enable the use of services available on the Website, such as those used for services requiring authentication on the Website.
3.5. “Performance” cookies that allow collecting information about the use of the Site.
3.6 “Functional” cookies enable remembering the User’s selected settings and personalizing the User’s interface, e.g. with regard to the User’s selected language or region of origin, font size, web page layout, etc.

4.1. Cookies are used for: adjusting the content of the Website to the User’s preferences and optimizing the use of the websites; in particular, these files allow for recognition of the Website User’s device and proper display of the website, adjusted to his/her individual needs;creating statistics that help understand how the Website User uses the websites, which makes it possible to improve their structure and content;conducting analyses and studies of the Website’s efficiency;ensuring the Website’s security by preventing abuse and data leaks;maintaining a session of the Website User (after logging in), thanks to which the User does not have to re-enter his/her login and password on each subpage of the Website.
4.2 Cookies placed in the User’s terminal equipment may also be used by advertisers, partners and third parties cooperating with the Controller (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Google, etc.).


5. USER RIGHTS
5.1 The User of the Website may change his/her Cookie settings at any time.
5.2 Information on how to change the setting of Cookies in the most popular web browsers can be found later in this document.
5.3 Detailed information on the possibility and methods of handling Cookies is available in the software settings (web browser) and in the help files available in the browser menu.
5.4 The stored Cookies may also be deleted by the User by using the appropriate functions of the Internet browser, programs for this purpose or tools available within the operating system used by the User.
5.5 Failure to change the settings of the browser used to manage Cookies will result in cookies that do not require the User’s consent being placed automatically on the User’s terminal equipment.
5.6 Due to the variety of available browsers and applications used to operate websites, the management of Cookies in different browsers looks different, so we recommend that you familiarize yourself with how to manage privacy/security features before using the Website.
5.7 The Controller informs that restrictions on the use of Cookies may affect certain functionalities available on the Website.


6. MANAGEMENT OF COOKIES BY USER.
6.1 The method of changing the settings of cookies may vary depending on the Internet browser used by the user. Information about cookies can be found in the “Help” tab of each web browser.
‍Cookies in web browsers.
‍In the browser options, select the option responsible for privacy settings:

‍The default settings of the Google Chrome browser allow the storage of Cookies. To change the settings, click on the “Google Chrome Settings” menu and select “Settings”;click on “Show advanced settings” at the bottom of the page;select the “Content settings” option in the “Privacy” options;select the desired settings;to make special settings for a particular site, click on “Manage exceptions” and select custom settings for sites;to approve the changes, click on the “Done” button.
Microsoft Edge
‍Microsoft Internet Explorer’s default settings allow cookies to be stored, but block cookies that may come from sites that do not have a privacy policy. To change the settings, click on the “Tools” menu and select “Internet Options”;select the “Privacy” tab;3. Use the slider to specify the desired level of settings (the highest blocks cookies completely, the lowest allows all cookies to be stored);OR:click on the “Advanced” button and select the desired settings yourself;to make special settings for a particular site, click on “Sites” and select custom settings for sites;confirm the changes with the “OK” button.

‍The default settings of Mozilla Firefox browser allow you to store Cookies. To change the settings, click on the “Tools” menu (in other versions: click the “Firefox” button) and select “Options”;then select the “Privacy” tab and check the desired settings;to make special settings for a particular site, click on “Exceptions” and select custom settings for sites;confirm the changes with the “OK” button.

‍The default Opera browser settings allow you to store cookies. To change the settings, you need to:click on “Preferences”, select “Advanced” and then “Cookies”;check the desired settings;to make special settings for a particular site, go to the selectedinternet site, right-click on it, select “Preferences dlawitryn” and go to the “Cookies” tab and then make the desired settings;confirm the changes with the “OK” button.

‍Safari

‍The default settings of the Safari browser allow the storage of Cookies. To change the settings, please:in the “Safari” menu, select “Preferences”;click on the “Privacy” icon;select the desired settings;to make special settings for a particular site, click on “Details” and select your own settings for sites.There are many different web browsers available for mobile systems. For detailed information on the Cookie settings, please refer to the settings in the menu of the browser you are using.
